Salary Range

  • Understanding of rudimentary communication and/or marketing principles
  • A strong grasp of the English language and understanding of the importance of differentiating communications for different audiences
  • Experience with various social media platforms, such as Twitter and LinkedIn
  • An open mindset to new ideas and the willingness to pursue excellence, including challenging existing structures where necessary
  • Willingness to gain an understanding of the structures of start-up and scale-up businesses
  • Dynamism and a mentality that supports flexible working
  • Working closely with the Marketing Manager and commercial team to build out important automated workflows in HubSpot that support effective customer journeys – from initial contact points such as website visits and email interactions, through to robust content distribution and marketing funnel navigation
  • Improving the data quality and overall processes in our HubSpot CRM, helping to identify customer behaviour and methods to capture and then act on activity to drive better engagement and sales opportunities
  • Gaining an understanding of the impact and sustainability climate and our content strategy, and applying this to deliver compelling social media content
  • Participating in regular meetings between the sales, marketing and technical teams as well as Senior Management to co-ordinate marketing activities that support business objectives
  • Where necessary and desired, supporting on and gaining experience with other digital platforms such as WordPress, Slack and Google Workspace
  • Previous multi-stakeholder experience
  • Previous customer facing sales and communications experience
  • Previous sector experience – University &/or Research.


  • University degree


  • Excellent grasp of social media and website metrics and best practices
  • Excellent Office spreadsheet (e.g. pivot tables), word and presentation skills
  • Ability to co-ordinate at all levels (internally and externally)
